Discounts work, but Orka are literally paying people $34 to drink their caffeinated water.
The 200% discount has gone crazy, as Orka are giving you cash to drink their drink. However, it’s not just anyone that has access to this discount. It’s 3 very niche groups of people, as seen in the image above.
This is genius for a few reasons, as the shock of the stunt has helped them go super viral, then the strangeness of the qualifying criteria has made people laugh which has made them go even more viral.
But finally, they’ve got masses of people signing up to their email list to be notified when the next 3 groups of people that qualify for their discount have been released, to see if they qualify.
How can you use a discount to go above and beyond its usual function?

Revyze: Short-Form Schoolwork
Revyze is bringing short-form video to the classroom. Founded by Florent and the team, the app helps students prepare for exams by swapping doom-scrolling for smart-scrolling.
Think TikTok, but instead of memes and dance trends, it’s peer-made short videos and quizzes designed to actually help students learn. Today, over 1 million students from 6th to 12th grade are using Revyze to study more effectively and on their own terms.
Finding the Right Co-Founders
Florent’s journey started while he was still at Airbnb, knowing he wanted to build something in education. A Founder friend introduced him to Guillaume, who had the same ambition. Over a pizza, they realised they both wanted to democratise access to quality education globally.
Guillaume later brought in his friend Antole as CTO, and the three of them became Co-Founders.
The First Users: WhatsApp, Not Code
Neither Florent nor Guillaume knew how to code at first. So instead of waiting, they got scrappy. They spoke directly to students, ran user research by asking them a series of questions around how they currently engage with school, and pulled a bunch of them into a WhatsApp group.
They began sharing videos to test if the content actually worked, and soon, students started making their own and sharing them back. That experiment became the basis for Revyze’s first MVP.
Going Viral With Maths
The early feedback was powerful; students said they learned more from a 3-minute Revyze video than from hours in the classroom. So the team doubled down, focusing their MVP on a major maths exam in France.
Within a week, Revyze had grown to 40,000 users due to the very precise focus on the platform helping students prepare for this big exam.
Landing the First Investment
To raise their first round, Florent and the team reached into their personal networks, securing initial backing from people they already knew. From there, warm introductions helped build momentum.
The breakthrough came when they travelled to London, armed with little more than a demo and cold emails that landed investor meetings. Sitting down face-to-face, they convinced backers of the opportunity - and closed a €2m pre-seed.
Where Revyze Is Headed
With 1 million students already on the platform, the vision is clear: make learning as addictive and accessible as social media.
Because if students are going to spend hours scrolling, they might as well be scrolling their way to better grades. Revyze say that currently, where you come from determines where you go. Revyze think that with technology and community, they can change this for 1 billion+ Kids globally.
